NSPCC Film delivered

Frank Communications prefer not to focus on the question of 'how much?' when we take on a project. In fact, we take our social responsibility very seriously indeed. In addition to supporting Refugee Action and donating 1% of our profits to this gem of an organisation we have also provided our services free of charge to The ITP Support Association, a charity supporting people with a rare blood disease, not to mention our freebie brochure design to the local church and pending website for the local primary school, also on the house.

The latest donation Frank Communications have made is to the NSPCC in the form of a fundraising film involving the ‘Can you HACK it?’ people who arrange sponsorship events around the UK for the NSPCC. The commissioners of the film are delighted with the outcome, so are we.

Mysterious Coincidence!

Hot on the back of naming the office dog after our favourite mutant (see new arrival story) we’ve been commissioned to design some Marvel Comics clothing graphics for a new range of hoodies. We’ve decided to demonstrate our truly modern and inclusive attitude to life by including some baddies as well as goodies. Check out the graphics bit in our projects section and you can see our initial offering including camo designs for Spidey and the the Green Goblin as well as Iron Man and Captain America stuff. Nice.

New Arrival

The team at Frank Communications have added a fourth member. Granted he’s not really in a position to make a contribution to our ever-increasing workload but he does add a certain something to the atmosphere in the office. Logan, named after the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, is a cross between an Alaskan Malamute and a Siberian Husky and is the pride and joy of Wak, our Creative Director. Don’t worry if you’re not too keen on dogs, Logan can always be absent  from the office when we have client visits.

Frank Communications would like to offer a very warm welcome to the folks at Leeds Museums and Galleries. Frank have been asked to work on designing banners, signage, posters, brochures, flyers, leaflet dispensers and much more for the group of institutions that represent Leeds Museums and Galleries.  The 3 of us here at Frank are all from Leeds and have known many of the said establishments intimately for many a year so we’re especially pleased to have been appointed.

New contracts and new clients

Frank Communications have had a great start to 2008. Not only have we moved into our lovely new offices and taken on the fantastic designer and illustrator Fon Ma but we've also secured 2 new contracts. Both contracts involve the collection of case study information from the social care sector in a variety of formats and both will be around 6 months in duration. If you'd like to know more then just get in touch.

We've also just started working with CES who supply renewable energy systems, an area where we have a specific interest. The partnership will involve us developing the CES brand, building a new content managed website and designing a corporate brochure.

We have moved

Frank Communications has a new home. After 3 months of restoration work 'The Old School House' in Birstall has been converted into offices and we moved in on Friday 25th January. It is a fantastic open plan space with loads of room for us to grow and we love it. The move went surprisingley smoothly thanks to our friends, Manku Construction, who carried out the refurbishment work.

Sales Person Required

We need a salesperson. Some people call them business development managers, but one thing's certain - you'll need to have integrity, determination and appreciate the concept of loyalty. Not your typical salesperson brief perhaps, but then Frank isn't your typical type of company; we were founded on strong principles: social responsibility; openness; straight talking and respect for the local community. If that's a combination that inspires you, then expect your commitment to us to be reciprocated. We want somebody who can identify sales opportunities, develop business and work on tenders. It may sound like a tall order but you won't be on your own.

New Appointment

Frank has appointed a new designer in the shape of Hew Fuen Ma - or Fon as she prefers to be known. Fon will work alongside our Creative Director and help out with graphic design. Fon is also an illustrator and will give us a fresh, new perspective when it comes to corporate identity and branding projects. She’s got great skill and flair and a wide range of interests which make her a perfect fit for Frank. She starts work in January and we’re lucky to have her! Welcome Fon.

Refugee Action Support

Frank is very pleased to announce that it will be donating 1% of its annual profits to Refugee Action each year. Refugee Action is a national charity whose aim is to help refugees and asylum seekers build lives in the UK. Their work is vital to people in vulnerable positions in an area that often gets an undeserved bad press. We think this work is crucial in today’s world and we are proud to be associated with them.
